Air defense forces of the Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen intercepted and destroyed two missiles and three drones launched by the Houthi militia toward several regions of the Kingdom on Friday and Saturday, the coalition said.
Details of Interceptions
Coalition spokesperson Maj. Gen. Turki Al-Maliki stated that air defenses intercepted and destroyed a cruise missile heading for the western region and a ballistic missile aimed at the southern region.
Al-Maliki added that three drones launched by the Houthis toward Riyadh, Makkah and Madinah were also shot down.
Earlier Attacks
These interceptions followed similar incidents on Thursday, when Saudi air defenses destroyed two ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis toward Riyadh and another ballistic missile targeting the Eastern Province, according to Al-Maliki.
Civil Defense Warning
Meanwhile, the Saudi Civil Defense urged citizens and residents to follow safety instructions during warning periods, including staying away from open areas and glass windows and avoiding balconies and rooftops.
